Recipes: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies vs Pumpkin Popovers

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies (from penniesonaplatter.com):
These were better than I thought they would be, because they were somewhat heartier than I expected. They were almost like a pumpkin bread. I didn’t quite bake them long enough, so I recommend following the toothpick test strictly.
Pumpkin Popovers (from domestically-speaking.com):
I made three different kinds. The recipe has them doused in cinnamon sugar, but I felt this wouldn’t be a fair fight unless some had chocolate, so I did the sugar+melted chocolate on some and just melted chocolate on some others. I preferred the melted-chocolate-only ones, actually. The others just wound up with so much sugar. Next time I will only dip the tops in sugar and I’d like to try a cinnamon sugar glaze, too. I also would like to try them in a mini muffin tin, which the recipe calls for.
The winner, for me, just barely, were the brownies. But I think with the improvements, the popovers could pass them. There’s no doubt I’ll give this whole thing at least one more chance.
